3. Explain the concept of Data Flow Diagram and also state the different types of flow charts?

Data Flow Diagram- This is the graphical presentation of a certain data or information. It tells the data input, storage and output points. It is one of the beginning steps, taken in a system. Diagram contains circles, rectangle, square and other shapes.

Different types of flow charts- These are as following:

1. Basic flow chart- It is very simple diagram that shows step by step points of any data.
2. Business process Modelling Diagram- It is the graphical presentation of whole business process.
3. Cross functional flowchart- It shows the process of execution the business program in details.
4. IDEF flowchart- This diagram shows the complex software system.
5. Influence diagram- It is the mathematical representation of decisions, sometimes it is used in place of decision tree.
6. Process flow diagram- This shows the complex process of a chemical industry.
