The lens shutters won't work anymore, and the lens won't retract back into the camera. Apparently, this is a pretty common problem. I didn't do anything to the camera to make it react this way-- at least, nothing that i can remember. it's a pretty new camera, i've had it for about two months only, but already it's conking out.
what's wrong? and how much would it cost to fix?
i live in the philippines, so if anybody knows a reliable store i can get it fixed in for a reasonable price, i'd love the information. :)

Both of these cameras have great reviews. I'm really getting into photography and I wanted an slr camera but the slr only has .1 more MP than the powershot. Is there really a major difference between the two because the slr is a lot more expensive than the small powershot.
