The teacher says she draws whatever she feels like on her work and doesn't follow along. At home I have to tell her things very directly, like eye contact and speaking slowly or else she won't listen to stuff that she isn't interested in. She seems to filter out anything that isn't her own imagination. Does this sound familiar to anyone? She is one of four, number three and I know things can get hectic at home and filtering out other goings on is a necessary coping mechanism, especially when the house is disorganized and there is yelling. I think I am answering my own question, but are there any other suggestions?

I'm wanting to darken highlighted areas on certain pages, but not sure what to call what I want to do other than that. Allow me to give 2 examples of what I mean.

First, when your questions here on Answers are about 2 days old, they are shaded to draw attention to them. That's the kind of thing I want to darken, i.e. make easier to distinguish. Right now, I can barely tell they are highlighted.

More importantly, this also applies to certain forms I fill out online that should be darker so I know where to type my info. The boxes where I need to type my info are indistinguishable from the general background.

I HAVE gotten on my Questions page here where the boxes are highlighted and tried to adjust my monitor to darken them with no luck. I can make the boxes even lighter, but cannot darken them, even when reversing what lightens them!

Can you help me with this mental monitor block I seem to have? What function do I need to adjust here?
