Crawford County, PA Athletics?
Asked By chuck505robinson,Last Answer By QUEST At 2011.05,1 Answers

Does anyone out there know the exact years of when the Crawford County Athletic League (in Pennsylvania) (aka CCAC) was founded? Does anyone also know when it became the French Creek Valley Athletic Conference (aka FCVAC or FCVC)? Does anyone know also know when the FCVAC was discontinued to become the current region system?

I have done research throughout the Internet and have not been able to find very much information. The earliest year I've found for the existence of the CCAC is 1929 (although I believe it existed much earlier). I believe the CCAC became the FCVAC around 1980. I also believe the last year of the FCVAC was 2004.

If anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it!

Is this religious discrimination?
Asked By Deino,Last Answer By Julia S At 2011.05,1 Answers

If I open a Christian store, a store that caters specifically to people who are seeking Christian goods like Bibles and gifts, then I would prefer to have Christian employees.
A young librarian told me that only hiring Christians for this job is religious discrimination, something I could be sued for.

Although the basic labor of stocking bookshelves and handling a cash register can be done by people of all and any religious mindset, the fact remains that not all of the people who enter my store will be looking for product. Many will be looking for information regarding Christianity. They will want somebody to pray with. They will be churches and religious organizations looking for like-minded individuals to discuss and plan events etc. A tremendous amount of the "customer service," for lack of a better term, will require a both knowledgeable and faithful person.
Somebody who is not a faithful Christian cannot pray with people or minister to people or, among other things, be a faithful Christian; however, these are things that people who enter a Christian store are looking for.
Accordingly, somebody who cannot satisfy that basic requirement that separates a Christian store from any other store, be it secular or otherwise, will not be qualified for a position.

That's fact, but I don't know what a lawyer will say about it...

Is there protection for religious retail organizations from religious discrimination charges because of the facts stated above? Or is there not?

Snowboarder discrimination...?
Asked By lanatista,Last Answer By ♫♫♫♫♫♫ At 2011.03,1 Answers

i'm a 13 year old girl and can snowboard better than anyone I know. i'm really fast, and always in control. i'm good on moguls, and can turn like nobody's business! i can keep up with anyone, can go on any ski run, and have been doing it for almost 7 years. but for some reason people always just assume that i'm not very good or something. i bought a skateboard a few months ago, and i told the guy that i was pretty good at skateboarding because i snowboard and it was true. he didn't believe me that i snowboard! that's not the only time that this has happened. i always surprise people when they ski/snowboard with me because they assume that i'm not very good! do people just assume that i'm not good at my sport because i'm a girl and 13 years old? don't you think that's stupid?

Does the British Government Know what Discrimination Is ?
Asked By Billy,Last Answer By Flash1977 At 2011.04,1 Answers

Why should real Incapacity Benefit disabled people be subject to discrimination by a Government that don't understand how disability effects the way that people suffer because they can't all work , some disabled people can work but not as good as able-bodied people can AND why should none-disabled people have the power to decide which disabled people can or can't or have the ability to work . When you are , as I am , disabled and have been so all my life , and have worked but for whatever reason , just can't anymore because of condition or age , I am 60 , I have worked from 1967 to 2000 full-time and from 2006 to 2010 part-time but now I just have no energy left to do any more without having long breaks between doing even little jobs like washing the dishes or setting the fire and then some bureaucrat tells you that you are fit to work , he being 30 years your younger and physically fit , it's blatant Discrimination and must be Stopped !

Overweight employee discrimination?
Asked By Daniel B,Last Answer By jeff m At 2010.10,1 Answers

Are young employees (<30) more likely to not get hired than someone over 30 that is overweight. I have a friend who is an HR worker saying that employees that are overweight and young, under 30, are more likely to get discriminated against do to the fact that young people are supposed to energetic, acitve and go-getters hence they shouldn't be overwieght. That could point to them being lazy and not ambitious. What do you think on this?
