How is jumping on and manhandling alligators not considered cruelty?

There is so much cruelty in this world, isn't there? And we don't all agree on what is "cruel" and not, but generally, all animals (even the big toothed scarrrry ones) should be protected... Wild animals should be allowed to remain wild - even those that are raised in captivity for whatever reason.

But man is full of fear, and "conquering" the beast (inside of us?) is a powerful happening, and a great money-maker... going way back, long before reality shows, moving pictures, newspaper and wire transfers. I remember the first time I saw old film of Grizzly taming - I will never forget - and others since those first years - always wished the wild creature would get the upper hand and prevail. I think this is why I am always for the underdog. Many xhugsx to you for bringing these stories to light.

Makes me sad. It will never end.
