think about the role geography plays in defining our cultures. the historic ones, the ancient ones, the powerful and the weak. where they lived dictated to a large degree who they traded with, interacted with, and conquered. even in today's global market, there are still marked cultural differences among the four points on the compass.

considering beliefs, languages, inventions and conventions, do you believe the diversity of cultures increases depending on their LONGITUDE with respect to each other, or their LATITUDE? give examples, how they differ, how they're similar.

The answer is latitude.Weather changes are pronounced if you cross latitudes. This weather change brings about changes in food habits and dress. The design of the house where we live in also somtimes changes(example:-igloo in arctic). The three important things for a man to live are food, cloth and a place to live in.All the three change with weather.Even within a country, we talk about " north-south divide" and not "east-west divide".So latitude plays an important part in cultural division.
