Today I had an appointment in outpatient for a diagnostic test. My appointment was at 10:30 am. I arrived at 10 am, was taken straight back, and was told I was next. I put on my gown and patiently waited for an hour. I then asked when we would get started and hinted that I wasn't prepared to stay all day because of my ride. I was again told I was next. Another 30 minutes later I asked again, was told it would only be a minute, and got an apology. 15 minutes after that I complained that it was ridiculous to make someone wait 2 1/2 hours for a 2 minute procedure and that maybe I should reschedule. She said the doctor would be in a minute. 20 minutes later I got dressed and left. I couldn't find anyone to tell I was leaving. I'm just wondering if they weren't going to see me till afternoon, why did they bring me in at 10:30? I wasn't prepped and was not under anesthesia so there's just no reason I can think of.

I've waited 10 hours before. its absolutely ridiculous. i agree. unlike you i can not just leave because i have to drive 4 hours to get there. they should be more considerate of their patients.
