If you go to Uni and get qualified in your chosen area no-one can take those qualifications from you.
If you have to take out student loans tho' you will, start life in debt - as much as £15000+ to be have to be a good money manager to avoid an overdraft and you most likely will need one..or daughter has just finished Uni and have to have the full whack of student loans and even tho' you don't have to start payin git back till you're earning a decent(ish) wage, don't be fooled by this - this wil effect everything you do in the future - buying a house, a car, when you have kids.....i know it will all sound a long way off now and the parties and friends and student life sounds great at this point - and it will be, but then your friends move away, get jobs, whatever, and your left with all your own debt and bills.
i'm not trying to put you off, but being realistic is absolutely necessary especially in these times of recession. It's not just qualifications you have to consider unless you study locally and stay with your parents/family.
Good luck chuck! Lol
