Hi, I'm 11, I'm a bit of an amateur fish-person. My mom and I were at PetSmart earlier and she went all googly eyed at this awesome 30 gallon tank built into one of those shelf things. She has been talking about how she wants to get an aquarium for the living room, and I expressed how awesome this would be. She told me to pick some fish to go in it for my birthday... (she told me what she was getting for me because she wants me to be able to pick out the fish.) I love fish and I would never want to hurt any, and I am not very knowledgeable on how to pick a community of them that live together well. I would appreciate some help in the matter.
Some other facts:
I really just like dwarf gouramis, I do not have a specific type in mind, if you have any suggestions I would like something colorful.
I know this is quite a large number of fish for a 30 gallon, but most are fairly small. But still, with a good filter, will this be ok?
