Whenever I go ice-skating, I always get blisters on the inside of my feet. Why?

How can I stop myself from getting these blisters?

What should I do to get rid of the blisters?

First of all, make sure you where very thin socks, or tights when you skate. I'm not sure how advanced you are, but a common misconception is that you should where thick socks. Also, make sure your skates are the right size. Unfortunately, ice skating will ruin your feet, no matter how well-fitted your skates are. Try searching on Google for a picture of Tara Lipinski's or Sasha Cohen's feet- I can guarantee they will have tons of large, painful blisters on them. It's just from the intense pressure on your feet.
