Today I went running, since I have been very sedate the last year. I realised I began to taste blood. This used to happen even when I was in pretty good shape, but when I was in shape, it only happened if I ran for long amounts of time, or during cold weather.
When I spit there is no blood, so I am sure it isn't really actual blood I am tasting.

Can anybody tell me the CAUSE of this?
I did look at a few other entries but I never quite did learn what causes this.

Appearntly everyone is just trying to scare you. The blood is just a gland in the back of your mouth radiating. There is only the taste and nothing more really. In general it just means you need more water, and probably just need to get back into a better shape. Its nothing really bad, I get it during track if I power run the mile.. In general it's all okay. Nothing to be concerned about and save the doctor some grievance by not going, and for that matter save that trip and the money till you actually need to go. It's common amoung distance runners.

Just drink more water, and warm up more..
