Do you use any devices? I was just wondering if there are any other ways instead of scooping out water cup by cup. Thanks!

I'm cycling a 20 gallon aquarium at the moment. Once it is done cycling, I'm planning to get 3 zebra danios, and 3 glofish. (They are the same fish, just the glofish's color is genetically altered, so they'll school). So, what fish you guys think would get along(and look good) with these fish without overstocking my tank? Thanks! All answers are loved!

I tested the pH levels, nitrate, nitrite, Hardness, Alkalinity, and ammonia levels and all are normal. Some of my fish have died and the others are not active. They just stay in one spot and occasionally move around. I feed them twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. Have any ideas why this is happening? Thanks.

So as some of you've already heard and answered my earlier fish questions, here's the situation...
I only want a Betta fish. I'd give him a nice big tank all to him/herself I think it'd be nice a nice touch to have a mini aquarium on my desktop. I'm researching everything and have researched over and over the basics and the aquarium nitrogen cycle.... researched the facts on owing a betta fish thousands of times...
If I get a tank, it'd have to be around a 3.5 to 5 gallon tank. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are the necesseties:
-3.5 or 5 gal tank
-filter
-heater
-thermometer
-decor
-Betta fish
-fish flakes AND bloodworms as treat
-API testing
Am I missing something? My brother had fish before but his filter was so noisy. Does anyone know of a fair-priced noiseless filter? And from everything here, cn you make an estimate of how much this will probably all cost? Easy 10 points :/?

Tank Setup:
- 20 gallon
- Penguin Biowheel 200
Tank Age:
- 1 Year (fully cycled)
Last Fish Added:
- 2 1/2 months ago
Maintenance:
- Biowheel (never changed as directed by the manufacturer)
- Filter replaced 1ce per month. (as directed by the manufacturer)
Current Conditions of the tank:
- Ammonia 0
- Nitrate 0
- PH 7.0
(level checked with a kit, then also tested professionally at the fish store I use on thursday. This is 100% accurate, so please don't argue that it's wrong)
- Temperature is 77 degrees
Tank Maintenance:
- 25% water change every week. The water that is being added is tap water treated with a de-chlorinator the day before to ensure there is no chlorine in the tank when the new water is added.
Fish Food:
- Fed once a day, enough that all the food is gone within 2 minutes. Flakes 5x a week, Blood worms 2x a week.
Fish:
- 4 tetras, juvenile red tail, juvenile clown loach, 4 molly's.
Died in the last 7 days:
- shark, molly, loach, then 2 molly's this morning.

I have eight 8 fresh water tanks but would really like to start a "small" salt water aquarium.
Any tips and what is your recommendation for the starter fish after the set up and acclimation time?
Thanks for any help

I am disappointed about the fish I bought last week. I have a 5 gallon tank. I bought 3 dwarf gourami fish with the advice of a worker at a petstore. Sadly 1 is dead and 1 is about dead. I have one left. I am going to take him back since now I have heard that he will grow to big for this tank. Grrr I have read how to cycle my aquarium and plan on doing so for a few weeks. I don't want alot of fish but just a couple and I just want to know what I should get for this small aquarium? I like the tropical fish best. Should I add any salt to the aquarium when having these type of fish?

Hi, a few years ago, my dad had an aquarium, but they all died, from what I think was overpopulation.
I would like to own my own aquarium now, but I'm not sure how I should get started. I know discus aren't for beginners, but what can I do to be ready to take care of discus. I don't want to buy them right away, because I heard you need to buy them in pairs of 4-6, and if they die, it will cost a lot of money.
So my question is: How do I get prepared for keeping, and perhaps breeding discus?
Thank you.
