I have three small fish in a 10 gallon tank. I don't know what type of freshwater fish they are, but they are base (color) with black stripes. One of them just hangs out by themselves, and the other two follow each other around constantly, sometimes even chasing each other. I would be thrilled if they had babies, but I don't know how to tell if they are "lovers" (mating) or just "friends". I would appreciate the help. Sorry I don't know what type of fish they are.

I have a 20 gallon tank that has been set up since Christmas. We have not had any trouble out of the tank or fish losing only two when it was first set up. All the levels and temp are the same as always. I have also been doing water changes like always. The tank recently developed green water. We were told it was from the light being on too much and to do often water changes and turn out the light. I uped the water changes and turned the light off more. This was four weeks ago. The tank is still green but now my fish are dying. We have lost three fish in three days and most of my mollies are very lathargic and laying on the bottom. I have an irridecent shark and an alge eater that are also very affected. The fish that are dying are looking very poor and bad when they die and there mouths have all been open. What could be going on and what do I do?

I have a new 20 gal. tank with 3 mollies, 5 neon tetras, 2 loaches and 4 snails, soon to be 2 snails. I've had it for about less than 2 weeks now. The ammonia levels are the only starting to rise to about 1. Should i be worried and are these levels bad for the fish?
At first all water levels were fine, meaning they were all at zero. Now i see that the ammonia levels are starting to rise. I use a liquid freshwater test kit. I have a few ornaments with one small real plant and few fake ones. The ammonia levels rose 2 days ago and i've been doing 10-20% water changes every day to keep the levels down (((should i do water changes less frequently or is this fine??)))). I test the water every day and the ammonia seems to be stable at around 1. Can anybody help me answer these questions and give me more advice.
How far am i in the cycling process????
How often should i do water changes to keep the ammonia levels down????
Should i feed the fish once or twice a day???
