When I was running low on cash and looking for a part-time job about a year ago, I was desperate and applied at Hollister. At the group interview, me, another girl, and a guy were told by the interviewer that they only wanted the popular kids to wear their clothes as it's a popular kids store and they wouldn't sell as much if the class nerd wore their clothes, and proceeded to ask us if we were considered popular in high school. I told the other two people "good luck" and got up and walked away. How shallow can you get?!?

Now, don't get me wrong because I dislike those stores as well. I've never been to those stores and won't ever set foot there either.

It's funny when I see these people on Yahoo Answers asking how could they STAND OUT or be UNIQUE when they only shop at stores like Abercrombie and Hollister. This had me laughing. The clothes are extremely overpriced and even if they did get them for cheap like around $20 or less, so?? The thought of people walking around with big, brandy names across their chests fill me with disgust. They're just trying too hard and have no ideas that they're just walking mannequins (i.e. Aberclone), not to mention the fact that Abercrombie is racist. Have you seen any of their models being a different race, other than Caucasion?

I'm writing a novel and one of my characters is a surfer. I've been out of the game a little while and need to know what they wear and some of the phrases they might uses like "stoked" , especially what they say when they are going surfing. Ex. "riding the tubes"

I just joined and haven't been made aware if tennis uniforms are mandatory or not. I'm wanting to sign up for a tournament soon, but I'm not sure if I need to get a uniform first or not. I live in Indiana if that makes a difference.

I recently visited a small surf shop (Long Island, NY) and loved the clothes they had there. The laid-back beach style, really liked it. I've never seen that stuff around the city before. I especially liked the stuff from a brand called "Honolua". The only problem was that everything there was pretty expensive. I'm wondering if any big chain stores sell clothes like that, or if anyone knows some other way to get good prices on that stuff. I'm heading to Florida soon for a summer trip and want to prepare. Thanks for any info.
