I know there are some pretty knowledgeable pool players who answer questions on here and I want you to give me your best argument on why an 8 ball break should count as a win and scratching on said 8 ball break is a loss. Inlighten me please :)

the cue ball goes into the pocket, causing a scratch and a foul and leaving the rack pretty much still togther and bunched up.....can I take the rack as it lies, and try to 3 foul you out? Does a certain number of balls have to touch the rail, to constitue a legal break for me to be able to take the rack as it lies?

Some say that you win if you pot only the black on the break and you lose if you pot the black and other balls also.

I can get the aiming down mostly but just wondered if... I hit the object ball halfway, would it make the path of the cueball where I was aiming and the object ball 30 degrees? What about hitting a 1/4 of the object ball, does that count as a 90 degree shot?

Is there a record for the longest time playing pool? Like the record for the longest game of monopoly played. Record for one game of pool, or record for amount of time playing pool (Like consecutive games) Winner stays on, or just the record for two guys with nothing better to do that decide to waste a few days playing pool non-stop in hope of getting a Guinness world record.

My sister has never had children & right now is loosing one of her beloved family cats . She is distraught & i feel so helpless that the vets can not do a thing for her babe .
Have you had this experience & How can i help her get through this awful time .
Her cat is now at the vets & the news is not good .

Was watching a men's tournament on TV, where 3 balls had to come past the headstring to be a legal break...obviously, it was a "tourney rule". In BCA rules (9 and 8ball), how many balls have to touch the rail for it to be a legal break.....and if not a legal break, what are your options? Rack again and break or accept the lay out?
